Olympic Steel Acquires Action Stainless & Alloys

Olympic Steel Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS) has acquired the assets of Action Stainless & Alloys, a full-line distributor and processor of stainless steel and aluminum based near Dallas, Texas. The all-cash transaction expands Olympic Steel's specialty metals footprint and adds product and processing capabilities; terms were not disclosed.

Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. Acquires American Alloy Steel, Inc.

Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all outstanding equity interests and related real estate assets of American Alloy Steel, Inc., a Houston-based distributor and fabricator of specialty carbon and alloy steel plate and round bar. The acquisition adds specialty plate and new fabrication/value-added processing capabilities to Reliance's portfolio; American Alloy reported approximately $310 million in sales for the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2023.

Ryerson Holding Corporation Completes Merger with Olympic Steel, Inc.

Ryerson Holding Corporation and Olympic Steel, Inc. have completed a merger in which Ryerson issued 1.7105 shares of its common stock for each share of Olympic Steel, leaving former Olympic Steel shareholders with approximately 37% of the combined company. The transaction creates the second-largest North American metals service center, with expected annual synergies of about $120 million by early 2028 from procurement, scale, operational efficiencies, commercial enhancements, and footprint optimization.

Olympic Steel, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS) has acquired Metal Works, a manufacturer of metal canopy components, roll-formed products and solar racking, in an all-cash transaction. Metal Works will continue to operate from its two Oakwood, Georgia facilities and will be reported within Olympic Steel's Carbon Flat Rolled business segment as the acquisition expands Olympic Steel's manufactured metal product capabilities and footprint.

Lincoln Electric Acquires Remaining Interest in Alloy Steel

Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc. acquired the remaining 65% interest in Alloy Steel Australia (Int) Pty Ltd, bringing Alloy Steel into full ownership. Alloy Steel, a Perth-based manufacturer of proprietary wear plate solutions, engineering services and digital monitoring for the mining sector (primarily Asia Pacific), generates approximately USD 50 million in annual revenue and will be reported in Lincoln Electric’s International Welding segment.
