Spire Capital Partners completed a controlling platform investment in PenLink, a Lincoln, Nebraska-based provider of communications surveillance and investigative software for federal, state and local law enforcement. Spire will partner with PenLink's management to accelerate growth, expand product capabilities and further penetrate the U.S. government marketplace; Madison Capital Funding provided senior debt financing.

Intel 471 Acquires SpiderFoot

Intel 471, a cyber threat intelligence provider, has acquired SpiderFoot, an open-source intelligence (OSINT) automation and attack-surface management platform. The acquisition will integrate SpiderFoot's capabilities into Intel 471's TITAN platform and bring SpiderFoot founder Steve Micallef into Intel 471 as Vice President of Attack Surface Technology; terms were not disclosed.

PriceSpider Acquires ORIS Intelligence

OPSWAT Acquires CIP Cyber

OPSWAT, a global leader in critical infrastructure cybersecurity, has acquired CIP Cyber, an online learning community focused on training and certifying cybersecurity professionals for IT and OT/ICS environments. The acquisition integrates CIP Cyber into OPSWAT Academy, creating a combined community of about 250,000 users and expanding OPSWAT’s training and certification offerings to 31 courses aimed at closing the cybersecurity skills gap for critical infrastructure.

PriceSpider Acquires Hatch

Check Point Acquires Cyberint

Check Point Software Technologies is acquiring threat intelligence firm Cyberint (Cyberint Technologies) to integrate its external risk management, threat intelligence and attack-surface management capabilities into Check Point's SOC and Infinity platform. The deal, reported at about $200 million, strengthens Check Point's managed threat-intelligence and SOC offerings; the transaction is expected to close by Q4 2024.
