Nextmune, a global specialty animal-health company, acquired VetBiotek, a developer of veterinary dermatology topical formulations including MicroSilver BG and Ceramide III products. The acquisition expands Nextmune’s dermatology portfolio and aims to improve production, packaging, distribution and access of VetBiotek’s products to veterinary clinics and distributors.

Gryphon Investors Acquires Vetnique Labs

Gryphon Investors, a San Francisco-based private equity firm, has acquired Vetnique Labs, a Naperville, Illinois-based pet health and wellness company. Gryphon will partner with founder and CEO James Bascharon (who will remain in role and retain a significant stake) to expand Vetnique’s product portfolio and geographic reach; financial terms were not disclosed.

Worldwise Acquires Pet Factory

Worldwise, a pet supplies platform backed by A&M Capital Partners, has acquired Pet Factory, a U.S.-based manufacturer of pet chews, treats, toys and accessories headquartered in Mundelein, Illinois. The acquisition expands Worldwise's chew and treat capabilities, adds domestic manufacturing and co-manufacturing capacity, and continues the platform's recent run of add-on deals.

Vimian Group (Movora) Acquires New Generation Devices (NGD) Assets

Vimian Group’s MedTech segment Movora has acquired the assets of New Generation Devices (NGD), a New Jersey-based veterinary orthopedic implants business, and an exclusive veterinary license to the Citrate-BP biomaterial. The acquired business generates about USD 4.5 million in annual revenue and the deal was consolidated into Vimian’s MedTech segment on 1 August; Vimian said the acquisition is a strategic fit with clear synergy potential.
