Enlightenment Capital Forms Auria by Merging Four Portfolio Companies

Enlightenment Capital has combined four portfolio companies—Boecore, Ascension Engineering Group, Orbit Logic, and La Jolla Logic—into a new space-focused platform called Auria, based in Colorado Springs. Auria will deliver mission planning, space domain awareness, satellite communications management and cybersecurity capabilities and will employ more than 400 people across the combined businesses. The consolidation is intended to broaden the customer base, expand capabilities and create a mid-tier contractor in the space and defense market.

Auria Acquires BCubed Engineering

Auria, a portfolio company of Enlightenment Capital, has acquired BCubed Engineering Corporation, a Warrenton, Virginia–based developer of software-defined satellite communications, digital ground systems, and cloud-native command-and-control platforms. The acquisition expands Auria's C3 (command, control, communications) software and hardware capabilities to better serve customers including the U.S. Space Force, Special Operations Command, and the Intelligence Community; Auria now has more than 500 employees across multiple U.S. locations.

EMK Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Keltbray Infrastructure Services (Aureos)

EMK Capital has acquired a majority stake in Keltbray Infrastructure Services (rebranded as Aureos), a UK provider of integrated infrastructure engineering services across power, renewables and rail. The investment is intended to strengthen KIS's market position, expand its service capabilities and support a buy-and-build growth strategy in the UK and potentially internationally; Keltbray sold the infrastructure services business as part of the transaction.

Aurex, a Godspeed Capital–backed space and missile defense engineering platform, has acquired Alpha 2 Inc., a Chantilly, Virginia firm specializing in cryptographic engineering, cybersecurity, and secure communications for U.S. national security space systems. The add-on expands Aurex's capabilities in encryption engineering and classified secure communications to better support mission-critical space, missile defense and intelligence community customers; financial terms were not disclosed.

Aurora Solar Acquires Lyra

Aurora Solar has acquired Lyra, a provider of instant permit-ready plan set software for the solar industry. The acquisition integrates Lyra’s automated permit packaging into Aurora’s cloud-based solar sales and design platform to speed installations and reduce permitting friction for solar installers.
