Los Angeles-based private equity firm Vance Street Capital acquired Carmanah Technologies Corp., a Victoria, British Columbia designer and manufacturer of solar and AC-powered LED pedestrian and traffic safety systems. Carmanah will join Polara Enterprises to form Vance Street's traffic and pedestrian safety ITS platform as the firm pursues organic product development and complementary M&A; financial terms were not disclosed.

CMH Acquisition Corp, a special purpose vehicle formed by Krystal Growth Partners in partnership with James Meekison, completed the acquisition and privatization of Carmanah Technologies Corporation effective August 16, 2019 for approximately C$86 million. Following the transaction CMH amalgamated with Carmanah, the company applied to delist from the Toronto Stock Exchange and will continue to design, develop and distribute energy‑optimized LED solutions for infrastructure under the Carmanah name.
