Twitter has acquired Squad, a small consumer social app known for screen-sharing, video chat and co-watching features. The Squad team will join Twitter to bring audio/video and screen-sharing capabilities into Twitter’s product; Squad said it would shut down the standalone app to focus on building inside Twitter.
