Retriev Technologies Acquires Battery Solutions

Brown & Brown Dealer Services, a division of Brown & Brown, Inc., has completed the acquisition of Automotive Business Solutions (ABS), which operates as ABS Risk, LLC and ABS Operations, LLC. ABS, a Denver-based administrator of automotive aftermarket warranty products and claims, will continue to be led by CEO Michael Cox and will integrate with Brown & Brown’s Dealer Services to expand automotive F&I and warranty capabilities.

H.I.G. Capital Acquires Continental Batteries

Capital (through an affiliate) completed the acquisition of Continental Battery Holding Corp., a Dallas-based distributor of aftermarket batteries serving automotive, electric utility vehicle, commercial, marine and industrial markets. The transaction was financed in part by Ares Management and represents a platform buyout intended to accelerate growth via acquisition and market consolidation; Continental's existing management will remain in place.

Automated Systems (ASI) Acquires American Bank Systems (ABS) with Support from Banyan Software

Automated Systems, Inc. (ASI) has acquired American Bank Systems (ABS), a provider of loan origination and compliance-focused software for U.S. community banks. The transaction was completed with support from Banyan Software and will integrate ABS's CoPilot and BankManager products into ASI's core banking platform as part of Banyan's Financial Institutions Group to expand ASI's capability set for community banks.
