Calera Capital (through an affiliate) acquired a majority stake in Nocturne Luxury Villas from Gladstone Investment Corporation; financial terms were not disclosed. Nocturne is a luxury vacation rental management platform with operations in St. Barth's, Grand Cayman, Telluride (CO), Cabo San Lucas (Mexico), Santa Barbara (CA) and Florida's Emerald Coast and is headquartered in Newport, Rhode Island.

Nocturne Luxury Villas acquired Grand Cayman Villas and Condos (GCVC), a villa rental management company that represents more than 180 properties across Grand Cayman. Gladstone Investment Corporation (NASDAQ: GAIN), an existing investor in Nocturne, provided $18.5 million of secured first‑lien debt to support the transaction and increase its investment in the Nocturne platform.

Nocturne Villa Rentals, Inc., a Gladstone Investment portfolio company, acquired St. Barth Properties, Inc. and St. Barth Dream Vacations SARL (collectively "SBP") on July 23, 2021. Gladstone Investment provided additional secured debt to support the add-on acquisition, expanding Nocturne's luxury vacation rental portfolio to include SBP's ~250 high-end properties on St. Barth.

Gladstone Investment Corporation partnered with Xyresic Capital to acquire The E3 Company, a Kilgore, Texas-based provider of pressure management solutions for oil and gas well completions, investing $46.0 million in a combination of senior secured debt and equity. Separately, Gladstone expanded its investment in its portfolio company Nocturne Luxury Villas by financing Nocturne’s acquisition of Exclusive 30A Rentals (more than 100 properties) via an $18.7 million senior secured loan.

An investor group led by Lad Dawson, Mike Bowers and Innovatus Capital Partners formed Guerdon, LLC and acquired substantially all assets of Guerdon Enterprises, LLC. Innovatus will provide working capital and equity alongside the founders to support growth of the modular manufacturer, which will continue to operate from Boise, Idaho and focus on hospitality, multifamily, student and affordable housing markets across the Western US and Canada.
