Brightstar Capital Partners (BCP) completed the acquisition of a 75% majority stake in Brightstar Corp., partnering with Brightstar’s senior management team. SoftBank Group Corp., the prior owner, will retain a 25% minority stake; BCP said it will help accelerate Brightstar’s growth in device protection, warranty, trade-in and supply chain solutions.

A&M Capital Partners Acquires Majority Interest in BrightPet Nutrition Group

A&M Capital Partners (part of Alvarez & Marsal Capital) has acquired a majority interest in BrightPet Nutrition Group, a Lisbon, Ohio-based manufacturer of premium and super-premium pet food and treats. The Golladay family will retain minority ownership and continue in management roles; the seller included Graham Partners, which announced the exit. AMCP plans to accelerate growth through channel expansion, product portfolio investments and strategic acquisitions.

Brightstar Capital Partners, a New York-based private equity firm, completed its acquisition of Novae Corp., a Markle, Indiana-headquartered trailer manufacturer, in partnership with Novae founder and senior management who retain significant ownership. Novae operates six trailer brands across 15 manufacturing facilities with more than 1,100 employees and will work with Brightstar to scale operations and expand in a fragmented market.

The investment establishes a strategic partnership to support Brightstar’s scaling and growth initiatives; Brightstar’s portfolio companies employ roughly 19,000 people with combined EBITDA of about $600 million.
