The family-run company — led by brothers Sheilesh and Akhil Shah and operating a HQ and factory in Willesden with around 68 employees — will join Vibrant's South Asian foods portfolio (TRS, East End, Cofresh, Everest) as an add-on to expand retail distribution and product range.

Vibrant Foods, the UK ethnic foods platform backed by Exponent Private Equity, has acquired Cofresh Snack Foods (CSF), the owner of the Cofresh and Eat Real brands, for an undisclosed sum. The Patel family, selling shareholders, will reinvest as minority holders; the deal strengthens Vibrant Foods' portfolio across South Asian staples and fast-growing plant-based/free-from snacking to accelerate distribution and growth across the UK and Europe.

B&G Foods Acquires Frozen Vegetable Manufacturing Operations of Growers Express

B&G Foods, Inc. acquired the frozen vegetable manufacturing operations of Growers Express, LLC, including inventory, equipment, a sublease for part of a Yuma, Arizona manufacturing facility and a lease for a warehouse in San Luis, Arizona. Approximately 155 employees will transfer to B&G Foods; the company also repurchased the master license agreement for certain Green Giant Fresh products. The transaction was funded with cash on hand and borrowings under B&G's existing credit facility; terms were not disclosed.

Exponent Private Equity has acquired UK ethnic-food producers and distributors TRS and East End Foods and will integrate them into a single group operating under the Vibrant Foods platform. The combined business — headquartered outside London and led by Rohit Samani (Chairman) and Umesh Parmar (CEO) — will have a combined turnover of approximately £300m and will continue to operate the TRS and East End brand names.
