Cinven has acquired a majority stake in Italian pet retailer Arcaplanet from funds advised by Permira and Winch Capital Partners, and—together with Arcaplanet and in strategic partnership with Fressnapf Group—has acquired Maxi Zoo Italia to form the Arcaplanet Group. The combined business will operate c. 500 stores across Italy and online, creating a leading pet care retail platform to accelerate omnichannel growth and consolidation of the fragmented Italian market.

CVC Acquires Majority Stake in Partner in Pet Food from Cinven

PPF operates 12 production facilities across Europe, produced ~700k tonnes and generated approximately €800 million in 2023; the transaction is expected to close in 2024 subject to regulatory approvals.

Cinven to acquire majority stake in Euro Techno Com Group from Carlyle
