Allient Inc. (Nasdaq: ALNT) acquired SNC Manufacturing Co., Inc., a designer and manufacturer of electrical transformers, to expand its power capabilities and add low-cost manufacturing capacity. SNC, headquartered in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, has approximately 440 employees and ~$40 million in trailing twelve-month revenue and will operate as a Technology Unit within Allient's Allied Power pillar.

Allied Motion Acquires ALIO Industries

Allied Motion Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: AMOT) has acquired ALIO Industries, a designer and manufacturer of nano-precision linear and rotary motion systems, for $20.0 million (comprised of $15.0 million cash and $5.0 million Allied common stock) plus potential earn-outs tied to future EBITDA targets. ALIO, headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, brings patented hybrid hexapod and air-bearing positioning technologies intended to expand Allied Motion’s precision positioning and robotics capabilities across markets such as silicon photonics, genome sequencing and microelectronics.

Novanta Inc. Acquires Motion Solutions

Novanta Inc. has agreed to acquire Motion Solutions for $189 million in cash, a provider of high-precision, customized motion subsystems and components for medical, life sciences, and advanced industrial OEMs. The acquisition (completed) expands Novanta's capabilities and presence in precision medicine, lab automation, medical robotics and related end markets; Motion Solutions is headquartered in Irvine, California and has over 110 employees and expected 2023 revenue of ~$85 million.

Applied Industrial Technologies Acquires Advanced Motion Systems Inc.

(AMS), a Rochester, New York-based provider of machine vision, robotics, and motion control products and engineered automation solutions. The acquisition expands Applied's automation capabilities and strengthens its footprint in the U.S. Upper Northeast; financial terms were not disclosed.

Allied Motion Acquires Spectrum Controls, Inc.

Allied Motion Technologies Inc. acquired Spectrum Controls, Inc., a Bellevue, Washington–based designer and manufacturer of industrial I/O modules, displays and communications gateways, for a total purchase price of $70 million (approximately $45 million paid at closing, with $25 million deferred). Spectrum, founded in 1983 with about 72 employees, will expand Allied Motion’s industrial automation product portfolio and engineering capabilities and is expected to be accretive to earnings and gross margin.

The deal expands Allied Motion's precision motion capabilities and advances its strategy to provide integrated motion solutions for robotics, semiconductor, instrumentation and other high-precision markets including aerospace, defense and medical.
