Lakeside Book Company Acquires Marquis Book Printing, Inc.

Lakeside Book Company has acquired all issued and outstanding shares of Marquis Book Printing, Inc., with Marquis becoming a division of Lakeside. The acquisition gives Lakeside direct access to the Canadian market (including English and French-speaking regions), adds Marquis' production and logistics footprint and roughly 600 employees, and aims to improve lead times and service capabilities for publishers.

Painters USA Acquires Lakeside Painting

Painters USA has acquired Lakeside Painting to expand its commercial and industrial painting, floor coating and industrial cleaning capabilities in Wisconsin. The deal brings Lakeside Painting's regional team and experience into Painters USA's national platform, with Lakeside owner Joe Pangburn endorsing the move as an opportunity to better serve clients and pursue larger projects.

Chroma Color Corporation Acquires Plastics Color Corporation

Chroma Color Corporation has acquired Plastics Color Corporation, including its two manufacturing facilities in Asheboro, North Carolina and Calumet City, Illinois. The acquisition expands Chroma's manufacturing footprint and adds Plastics Color's color concentrates, functional additives and FDA-relevant capabilities (including DMFs) to Chroma's portfolio; terms were not disclosed.

Ancor-backed LSC Environmental Acquires Phoenix Paper Products

In December 2019, LSC Environmental Products, a portfolio company of Ancor Capital Partners, acquired Phoenix Paper Products of Lostant, Illinois. The add-on expands LSC's erosion-control and mulch product portfolio and provides vertical integration of supply, manufacturing and distribution channels for environmental and industrial applications.

Platinum Equity Acquires Multi-Color Corporation

An affiliate of Platinum Equity has completed the acquisition of Multi-Color Corporation, taking the Cincinnati-based label and packaging solutions provider private. The deal merges Multi-Color with a subsidiary of Platinum portfolio company WS Packaging to create a combined business with roughly $2.2 billion in annual revenue, 86 plants across 26 countries and over 10,000 employees.
