Vander-Bend (Aterian Portfolio) Acquires Swiss Precision Machining

Vander-Bend Manufacturing, a portfolio company of Aterian Investment Partners, has acquired Swiss Precision Machining (SPM), a Wheeling, Illinois-based precision manufacturer of swiss screw machined components used in robotic surgery and other high-technology end markets. The deal is an add-on acquisition that expands Vander-Bend’s consumable medical instrument capabilities, swiss-screw machining capacity, and customer relationships in med-tech.

Aterian Investment Partners closed Aterian Opportunities II, LP, a ~$460 million single-asset continuation vehicle to purchase Vander-Bend Manufacturing from Aterian Investment Partners II (Fund II). The transaction provides approximately $90 million of incremental growth equity to Vander-Bend and is anchored by investors including J.P. Morgan Global Alternatives, Hollyport Capital and Blackstone Strategic Partners; Aterian management and certain Fund II LPs rolled meaningful equity.

Vander-Bend (Aterian) Acquires Omni Components Corporation

Vander-Bend Manufacturing, a portfolio company of Aterian Investment Partners, has acquired Omni Components Corporation, a precision manufacturer of tight-tolerance medical consumables headquartered in Hudson, New Hampshire. The add-on expands Vander-Bend’s medical technology capabilities and manufacturing footprint in the Northeast and Southwest, adding two facilities and complementary capabilities for spinal, cardiovascular and tendon-related OEM products. Omni’s founder and owner, Frank Stone, and his team will join the Vander-Bend platform.

Vander-Bend Manufacturing, a portfolio company of Aterian Investment Partners, has acquired J.L. Haley Enterprises, a Rancho Cordova, California-based niche metal fabrication manufacturer that supplies complex assemblies for medical equipment and other critical end markets. The transaction is an add-on to Vander-Bend aimed at expanding scale, capabilities (CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, assembly) and further entrenching the combined company in medtech and data-center infrastructure end markets.

Vance Street Capital Acquires Mountain Manufacturing Technologies (Add-on to Wytech Industries)

Los Angeles-based private equity firm Vance Street Capital acquired Mountain Manufacturing Technologies, a Lino Lakes, Minnesota contract manufacturer of precision mandrels and machined components for medical devices. The deal will complement Vance Street's existing portfolio company Wytech Industries by expanding mandrel capabilities and supporting growth in interventional and advanced surgical markets.

Vantedge Medical (Aterian) Acquires Hobson & Motzer

The add-on acquisition expands Vantedge's consumables manufacturing capabilities, particularly in progressive stamping, precision electrochemical machining and surgical stapler components, and broadens its customer base and geographic footprint.
