ArchStar Capital Completes Investment in Deployable Systems, Inc.

ArchStar Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm, has completed an investment in Deployable Systems, Inc. (DSI), joining it with ArchStar's earlier investment in Packaging Strategies Incorporated (PSI) to form a new packaging holding company. DSI and PSI design and manufacture rugged rotationally- and injection-molded protective cases serving aerospace, defense, telecommunications, medical devices and related markets; terms were not disclosed.

TricorBraun Acquires Packaging Solutions, Inc.

TricorBraun has acquired Minneapolis-based Packaging Solutions, Inc. (PSI), a rigid packaging distributor and custom designer serving pharmaceutical, pet food and personal care markets. The acquisition strengthens TricorBraun’s Minneapolis presence (adding warehouse capacity) and integrates PSI into the TricorBraun platform; PSI’s owners and team will remain and the Packaging Solutions name has been retired. Terms were not disclosed.

Specialized Packaging Group Acquires Protective Packaging Solutions

Specialized Packaging Group (a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners) has acquired Protective Packaging Solutions (PPS), a custom designer and fabricator of engineered protective packaging based in Aurora, Colorado. The acquisition expands SPG's engineered packaging capabilities and geographic reach, adding approximately 90 employees to SPG's ~1,600-person workforce; Monroe Capital provided a senior credit facility to support the transaction.

Specialized Packaging Group Acquires Packaging Concepts & Design and Packaging Specialists, Inc.

Specialized Packaging Group (SPG), a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners, acquired Packaging Concepts & Design (PC&D) of Troy, Michigan and Packaging Specialists, Inc. (PSI) of Phoenix, Arizona from common owner O2 Investment Partners. The add-on acquisition expands SPG's Engineered Packaging capabilities, adds roughly 100 employees to the combined workforce, and strengthens SPG's engineering, design and manufacturing footprint across North America—particularly in automotive and aerospace end markets.

The Jordan Company Invests in Five Star Holding

The Jordan Company has agreed to invest in Five Star Holding, a Houston-based integrated flexible packaging manufacturer, taking a minority position alongside the company’s current owners. The growth capital partnership will support Five Star’s expansion and sustainability initiatives, including its PCR recycling and bio-film development capabilities.

Selig Group Acquires Performance Systematix

Selig Group, owned by CC Industries, has completed the acquisition of Performance Systematix (PSI), a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based supplier of container and packaging venting solutions. PSI will operate as a subsidiary of Selig and the transaction expands Selig's product capabilities and global packaging solutions offering.
