Fort Point Capital Invests in The Yandell Family of Companies

Boston-based private equity firm Fort Point Capital has invested in The Yandell Family of Companies, a Benicia, California-based provider of temperature-controlled warehousing, transportation, and freight brokerage services serving the wine, food and beverage industries. Fort Point will operate Yandell as a platform investment to support growth, sales and marketing investments, capability enhancement, and geographic expansion; debt financing was provided by Live Oak Bank and NorthCoast Mezzanine.

Cobalt Wine Logistics (Alba Wheels Up) Acquires North Coast Logistics, Inc.

Alba Wheels Up’s Cobalt Wine Logistics business unit, backed by private equity sponsor Southfield Capital, has acquired North Coast Logistics, Inc., a Petaluma-based wine consolidation and distribution specialist. The add-on expands Cobalt/Alba’s domestic over-the-road transportation and distribution capabilities, integrating NCL into Cobalt’s Napa warehousing and international logistics platform.

Vino Vault Acquires Western Carriers' Collector Business

AEA Investors Acquires Redwood Logistics

AEA Investors has acquired Redwood Logistics from CI Capital Partners. Redwood, a Chicago-headquartered third-party logistics provider with a proprietary Logistics Platform as a Service (LPaaS) and more than 800 employees, will partner with AEA to fund additional add-on acquisitions and accelerate organic growth; financial terms were not disclosed.
