EFL Global has acquired Trans American Customhouse Brokers, Inc., a U.S.-based customs brokerage and logistics firm founded in 1984. The deal adds customs brokerage, clearance and consulting capabilities (including licensed brokers and digital clearance tools) to EFL's global supply chain offering and expands its integrated customs services across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

AEA Investors Acquires Redwood Logistics

AEA Investors has acquired Redwood Logistics from CI Capital Partners. Redwood, a Chicago-headquartered third-party logistics provider with a proprietary Logistics Platform as a Service (LPaaS) and more than 800 employees, will partner with AEA to fund additional add-on acquisitions and accelerate organic growth; financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal adds Rockfarm’s freight management, international freight forwarding, trade compliance, customs brokerage, TMS integration experience and data/BI capabilities; Rockfarm’s Dubuque, Iowa operation and leadership will integrate into Redwood.

Blue Wolf Capital and Stonepeak Acquire LOGISTEC Corporation

Blue Wolf Capital Partners, in partnership with Stonepeak, has completed the acquisition of Montreal-based LOGISTEC Corporation for approximately C$1.2 billion, taking the company private. Blue Wolf has committed to keep LOGISTEC's head office in Québec and plans more than C$200 million in capital expenditures and growth initiatives to expand the marine terminal and environmental services business.

Yandell (SC Warehouses) Acquires Eagle Transportation and Redwood Empire Wine Storage

SC Warehouses, LLC (doing business as Yandell), a Fort Point Capital–backed temperature-controlled logistics platform, has acquired Eagle Transportation Company Inc. and Redwood Empire Wine Storage, both based in Santa Rosa, California. The add-on acquisitions expand Yandell's geographic footprint and add bulk tanker transportation and direct-to-consumer (wine club) fulfillment and cold-storage capabilities.
