Datadog, Inc. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Sqreen, a SaaS application security platform that provides runtime application self-protection (RASP) and in-app WAF capabilities. The acquisition extends Datadog’s cloud security and application protection capabilities, enabling unified observability and security for development, operations and security teams; the deal was announced Feb 11, 2021 and expected to close in Q2 2021.

Datadog Acquires CoScreen

Datadog has acquired CoScreen, a real-time collaboration platform for engineering teams, to add in-product screen sharing and joint workspaces to its observability and security platform. The deal brings CoScreen's capabilities for pair programming, incident response and debugging into Datadog's SaaS offering to improve developer productivity and reduce mean time to resolution.

Akamai Technologies Acquires API Security Company Neosec

Akamai Technologies has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Neosec, an API detection-and-response platform headquartered in Palo Alto (with operations in Tel Aviv). The acquisition expands Akamai's application and API security capabilities by adding Neosec's API visibility and behavioral-analytics technology; the deal is expected to close in Q2 2023 and is not expected to add material revenue for 2023.

Datadog Acquires Metaplane

Datadog has acquired Metaplane, a Boston-based data observability platform, to accelerate Datadog's expansion into data observability and unify observability across applications and data. Metaplane’s machine learning–powered monitoring and column-level lineage capabilities will be integrated into the Datadog platform while continuing to support existing customers as part of Datadog. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Knoema Acquires Seek Data

Erik Mitchell, founder of Seek Data, will join Knoema as Chief Strategy Officer to oversee commercial and product strategy for the combined firm.
