An affiliate of OceanSound Partners has made a strategic (minority) investment in RMA Group of Companies, a California-based provider of technology-enabled laboratory testing, inspection, and quality management services. RMA's existing management team, led by President and CEO Ed Lyon, retains a significant ownership stake and will continue to lead the business as the partner supports organic growth and add-on acquisitions to expand capabilities and geographic reach.

Edmond Company, a provider of inspection, mechanical sampling and ISO 17025‑accredited laboratory testing for petroleum coke, coal and other solid fuel byproducts. The acquisition expands RMA’s testing, inspection and certification capabilities—adding analytical chemistry capacity and strategic port‑side laboratories to support petrochemical and other industrial end markets. Terms were not disclosed.
