PropertyGuru Completes Business Combination With Bridgetown 2 Holdings

PropertyGuru Group completed a business combination with Bridgetown 2 Holdings (a SPAC), receiving approximately US$254 million of gross proceeds (including a US$100 million PIPE) and beginning trading on the NYSE under ticker PGRU. The transaction values PropertyGuru at an enterprise value of about US$1.36 billion and will fund continued organic growth and M&A across its Southeast Asian PropTech markets.

EQT Acquires Baring Private Equity Asia

EQT AB has agreed to acquire Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA) in a €6.8bn transaction comprising 191.2m new EQT shares and ~€1.5bn–€1.6bn in cash, creating a scaled Pan-Asian active ownership platform rebranded as BPEA EQT Asia. The combination brings BPEA's private equity and real estate capabilities into EQT's global platform, with BPEA CEO Jean Eric Salata to lead the combined Asian business.
