Bank7, a community bank headquartered in Oklahoma City, has acquired First American Mortgage, Inc., a locally owned residential mortgage lender founded in 1993. The acquisition expands Bank7's mortgage division and deepens its residential lending capabilities to better serve customers across its Oklahoma, Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth) and Kansas markets.

FirstCash Acquires American First Finance

FirstCash Holdings, Inc. has completed its acquisition of American First Finance (AFF), adding AFF as a wholly owned subsidiary and establishing FirstCash's entry into the lease-to-own and point-of-sale payment space. AFF brings a nationwide network of over 6,500 merchant partner locations and technology for "no credit required" retail financing; Doug Rippel, AFF's founder and former chairman, joined the FirstCash Board following the close.

First American Financial Acquires Docutech

First American Financial Corporation has signed an agreement to acquire Docutech, a provider of document, eClose and fulfillment technology for the mortgage industry. The acquisition (Docutech was a Serent Capital portfolio company) expands First American’s digital mortgage and settlement capabilities and will keep Docutech’s management team, led by CEO Amy Brandt, in place.

FirstService Corporation Acquires Roofing Corp of America

FirstService Corporation has acquired a significant controlling interest in Roofing Corp of America from Soundcore Capital Partners; the transaction closed on December 15, 2023. The purchase price is US$413 million, funded with cash and borrowings, with Roofing Corp management (including CEO Randy Korach) retaining the balance of the equity and continuing to run the business. Headquartered in Atlanta, Roofing Corp operates 16 regional branches across 11 U.S. states, employs more than 900 people, and generates approximately US$400 million in annual revenue.

First American Financial Corporation has completed the acquisition of Mother Lode Holding Company and its 17 operating subsidiaries, including principal subsidiary Placer Title Company. The acquisition expands First American's footprint across 11 states and adds over 1,000 employees and 92 offices, enhancing its title insurance, underwriting and escrow capabilities in key U.S. housing markets.
