Alro Steel Acquires Klein Steel Service

Alro Steel has acquired Klein Steel Service, a Rochester-based metals supplier and processing center that operates six facilities in western and central New York. The acquisition expands Alro's Northeast footprint and adds Klein Steel's inventory, value-added processing and component manufacturing capabilities to Alro's distribution network. Heritage Capital Group served as exclusive financial advisor to Klein Steel; terms were not disclosed.

Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. Acquires American Alloy Steel, Inc.

Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all outstanding equity interests and related real estate assets of American Alloy Steel, Inc., a Houston-based distributor and fabricator of specialty carbon and alloy steel plate and round bar. The acquisition adds specialty plate and new fabrication/value-added processing capabilities to Reliance's portfolio; American Alloy reported approximately $310 million in sales for the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2023.

Kreher Steel Co. Acquires Ritchey Metals Company

Chicago-based Kreher Steel Co. has acquired Ritchey Metals Company, a Pittsburgh-area producer of zinc and aluminum alloys and the largest zinc-aluminum steel coatings alloyer in North America. The deal adds more than 120,000 tons of annual alloy output capacity and approximately 110 employees across two facilities, expanding Kreher's manufacturing footprint and product offerings.

Holleway Capital Acquires Aladdin Steel

Holleway Capital, a St. Louis-based private equity firm focused on Midwestern manufacturers and distributors, has acquired Aladdin Steel, a specialty carbon steel tubing and pipe distributor founded in 1976 and headquartered in Gillespie, Illinois. RKCA advised the sell-side; founder Gene Eschbacher, who became sole owner in 2009, was the selling party. The acquisition expands Holleway's exposure to regional industrial distribution and value‑added steel services.

Steel Dynamics Acquires ROCA ACERO S.A. de C.V.

Steel Dynamics, Inc. completed the acquisition of ROCA ACERO S.A. de C.V., a Monterrey-based ferrous and nonferrous scrap metals recycling business with five processing facilities. The purchase expands Steel Dynamics' scrap processing capacity in Mexico and the Southwest U.S., strengthening the company's raw material procurement strategy for its electric-arc-furnace steel operations.

Olympic Steel Acquires Shaw Stainless & Alloy

Olympic Steel Inc. has acquired the assets of Shaw Stainless & Alloy in an all-cash, immediately accretive transaction; terms were not disclosed. The acquisition brings Shaw's stainless steel distribution, fabrication, architectural and barrier defense businesses into Olympic Steel's specialty metals segment while retaining Shaw's management and operations in Georgia.
