VaLogic Bio, a platform company of private equity firm 424 Capital, has acquired Facility Logix, a Burtonsville, Maryland-based firm specializing in planning, development, and project management for life-sciences facilities. The deal is an add-on acquisition intended to expand VaLogic Bio's service capabilities and build a full-service outsourced solutions platform for life sciences facility design, CQV, environmental monitoring, and ongoing compliance.

VaLogic Bio, a Frederick, Maryland–based provider of GMP compliance and laboratory technology solutions, has acquired Superior Laboratory Services, Inc. (SLSI), a Pasadena, Texas lab design, construction and certification firm. The acquisition adds SLSI's two decades of laboratory design and USP/pharmaceutical laboratory expertise to VaLogic's service offerings and will keep the Pasadena office operational under VaLogic ownership.

BioIVT, a provider of research models and value-added research services, has acquired Valley Biomedical Products & Services, an FDA-registered manufacturer of in vitro diagnostics, sera, plasma and reagents based in Winchester, Virginia. The acquisition will expand BioIVT’s capabilities in IVD manufacturing and cell & gene therapy support by combining Valley Biomedical’s reagent and blood-product manufacturing with BioIVT’s donor centers and specimen services; BioIVT will continue operating the Winchester facility and retain its staff.

Ott Scientific Acquires American Bionostica

Ott Scientific has acquired American Bionostica, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of specialty lateral flow assays; the acquisition was effective April 1 and ABI will operate inside Ott Scientific’s Ethos Biosciences subsidiary. The American Bionostica team will join Ott Scientific, with expanded research and production capacity planned at Ott Scientific’s new ISO13485/cGMP space in Logan Township, New Jersey.
