Temasek Invests Up to A$300m in Betashares

Temasek has agreed to invest up to A$300 million for a minority stake in Betashares, joining existing shareholders including TA Associates and Betashares staff. The growth capital injection is intended to accelerate Betashares' expansion of products and services in Australia and internationally, and to support organic growth as well as acquisitions and strategic investments.

Temasek has signed definitive agreements to acquire an additional 41% stake in Manipal Health Enterprises (MHE), increasing its investment in the India-based hospital network. Following the transaction, Manipal Group will hold about 30%, Sheares Healthcare Group (a Temasek subsidiary) will retain 18%, TPG will re-invest an 11% interest through TPG Asia VIII, and NIIF will exit its holding.

EQT Acquires Baring Private Equity Asia

A consortium led by Macquarie Asset Management (via Macquarie Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Fund 3) has acquired a significant minority stake in Bersama Digital Infrastructure Asia Pte. Ltd. for about $610 million. The investment — made alongside Provident Capital and PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk — will support the platform's pursuit of digital infrastructure opportunities across Southeast Asia, including telecom towers, fibre and data centres; Bersama holds a 62.4% stake in PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk.
