PDI (PDI Technologies) has acquired British financial-technology provider Universe Group plc, including its htec and Celtech businesses, to expand PDI's UK and Ireland capabilities in point-of-sale, payments and back-office solutions for convenience and petroleum retailers. The deal brings Universe Group's regional teams and product suite into PDI's global enterprise management offering, strengthening PDI's vertical stack and in-region support.

PDI Technologies Acquires Comdata Merchant Solutions

PDI Technologies has acquired the Comdata Merchant Solutions business from Corpay Inc., taking ownership of the POS hardware, software and site-level systems that serve truck stops and unattended commercial fueling locations. Corpay (Comdata) will retain its fuel card and merchant acceptance network, while PDI will become an approved provider of Comdata transactions and invest in expanding the POS capabilities.

Dairy.com Acquires Orbis MES

Dairy.com, a Frisco, Texas-based provider of SaaS dairy supply-chain solutions, has acquired Orbis MES, a Dublin-based provider of manufacturing execution systems for the food and beverage industry. The purchase adds MES capabilities to Dairy.com's software portfolio and establishes a European hub to support global expansion and deeper service offerings for dairy, brewing and food processors.

Insight Venture Partners Acquires PDI (Professional Datasolutions, Inc.)

Harvest Partners' non-control SCF vehicle also invested to support the transaction while existing investors Genstar Capital and TA Associates retained minority stakes; proceeds will be used to accelerate PDI's global growth, product innovation and strategic add-on activity.
