Cox Communications Acquires Remaining Interest in Unite Private Networks

Cox Communications agreed to acquire the remaining ownership stake in Unite Private Networks (UPN) from Ridgemont Equity Partners, completing the deal in July 2023. UPN will be combined with Cox-owned Segra to form a new standalone commercial fiber company that expands Cox's fiber footprint and commercial services for enterprise, education and government customers.

Cox Communications Acquires Segra's Commercial Services Business from EQT Infrastructure

Cox Communications has acquired the commercial services business of Segra from EQT Infrastructure (EQT Infrastructure III fund), a divestiture that expands Cox's fiber footprint and enterprise/carrier offerings across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. EQT will retain Segra's residential and SMB operations (Lumos Networks and NorthState) and plans to accelerate FTTP buildout; Segra's commercial unit will operate as a stand-alone business within Cox with existing management retained.

UPSTACK Acquires Universal Telecommunications and Universal Solutions Providers

The add-on expands Congruex's broadband construction footprint across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee and is supported by Crestview Partners, Congruex's private equity sponsor.
