Dental Acquisitions in Utah

Catalis Dental Lab Partners, a PE-backed national dental lab platform, has acquired Revolution Dental Lab in Sandy, Utah and opened a new East Coast digital design center in Jacksonville, Florida. The deal — supported by sponsor Caymus Equity — expands Catalis’ national footprint and adds local capacity in the Western U.S. while increasing digital design support for customers on the East Coast.

HGGC has made a strategic growth investment in Dentive, a founder-run dental service organization (DSO) that provides management services to doctor-owned general and specialty dental practices. The investment will support Dentive’s continued expansion — the company operates nearly 70 locations across nine states and was founded in 2019 by Tom Clark and Austin McFee.

Henry Schein acquired a 70% ownership stake in eAssist Dental Solutions, a fast-growing virtual dental billing and revenue cycle management provider headquartered in American Fork, Utah. eAssist — founded in 2011 and with more than 1,200 employees serving over 2,000 practices — had approximately $31 million in sales in 2020; financial terms were not disclosed and Dr. James Anderson will remain CEO.
