Education Acquisitions in Nevada

Argosy Private Equity has acquired a controlling interest in Heavy Equipment Colleges of America (HEC), a nationally accredited provider of heavy equipment, crane, directional drilling, and HVAC training with multiple campuses across the U.S. Argosy plans to professionalize HEC's operations, invest in digital integration, expand training programs, and pursue add-on acquisitions to scale the platform.

StraighterLine, the online education provider, has acquired Preppy, an online platform offering affordable career and certification training for roles such as medical assistants, dental assistants, and pharmacy technicians. The deal expands StraighterLine's portfolio of workforce-focused education brands and positions the company to offer a broader set of certification and career-readiness programs.

The Riverside Company has added DroneCurriculum.net to its iCEV platform as an add-on acquisition. DroneCurriculum.net, a Reno, Nevada–based developer of K-12 drone curriculum and FAA commercial drone pilot certification prep, will expand iCEV’s STEM and drone course offerings and support workforce-aligned programming.

The Riverside Company has acquired Corporate Visions Inc., a provider of science-backed sales, marketing and customer success training solutions, from Sentinel Capital Partners. Terms were not disclosed; Riverside said it will leverage its education and training experience to help grow Corporate Visions' product offerings and digital delivery capabilities.

Emler Swim School acquired All Star Swim Academy in Henderson, Nevada, adding the location as its 31st school in a deal that closed June 12, 2021. All Star will continue to operate under its name, with existing staff retained and existing monthly enrollment plans unchanged.
