HVAC & Mechanical Acquisitions in South Carolina

Air Conditioning Specialist, Inc. (ACS), a Hidden Harbor Capital Partners portfolio company, acquired David Taylor Heating & Air Cond, LLC, a residential and light-commercial HVAC and plumbing services provider headquartered in Anderson, South Carolina. The deal is an add-on to ACS’s Southeast service platform to expand geographic presence and service capabilities; financing was provided by funds managed by First Eagle Alternative Credit and Capital Southwest.

Liberty Service Partners has acquired Easy Electrical Solutions, a residential electrical services contractor based in Columbia, South Carolina. Founders Dennis and Katielynn O'Toole will remain with the business as Liberty expands its platform into the South Carolina market and pursues cross-training and regional growth opportunities.

Kelvin Group, in partnership with Southfield Capital, has completed the acquisition of GMS Services, LLC. The business will be integrated into Kelvin's RD&S unit to expand the platform's commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R service capabilities and geographic footprint across the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Great Lakes regions; terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition expands ACS’s footprint in South Carolina; financing was provided by Capital Southwest and First Eagle Alternative Credit and Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton advised Hidden Harbor.

Vestar Capital Partners has joined Tech24 as a new investor alongside existing shareholder HCI Equity Partners and the company's management team in a sponsor recapitalization. The investment will fund Tech24's continued organic and acquisitive growth across new and existing geographies and end markets; Tech24 is a Greenville, South Carolina-headquartered leader in commercial foodservice equipment repair and preventive maintenance.

Cold Core Group, a Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin-based full-service industrial and commercial refrigeration provider, has acquired South Carolina-based Aircor Refrigeration, LLC and Arctic Consulting, LLC. The acquisition expands Cold Core Group's east‑coast presence and adds specialized industrial refrigeration services, energy management and PSM/RMP compliance consulting capabilities.

The deal expands ACS’s geographic footprint into South Carolina and broadens its service and replacement capabilities; financing was provided by Capital Southwest and Generational Equity advised the seller.

Southern HVAC Corporation (d/b/a Southern Home Services) acquired George M. Hill & Sons, a long-established residential heating and air conditioning business in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and will merge the business with Five Star Plumbing Heating & Cooling to expand service offerings in the Greenville–Spartanburg market. The deal brings the local 75+ year-old firm into Southern's platform of home-service brands as an add-on to support geographic and capability expansion.

Easy Ice, a national provider of full-service ice machine subscription solutions, has acquired Hutto Refrigeration Sales & Service, a Charleston, South Carolina-based refrigeration sales, service and refurbishment business. The acquisition expands Easy Ice's Southeast presence and adds a centralized refurbishment and technical service facility and experienced team to support its lease and maintenance operations.

NearU Services, a founder-led home services platform based in Charlotte, acquired Columbia, South Carolina-based 2nd Wind Heating & Air Conditioning, a nearly 40-year-old residential and light-commercial HVAC provider. The deal brings 2nd Wind's local team and customer base into NearU's platform as NearU pursues near-term de novo expansion in South Carolina.

Sunny River Management (SRM), a private investment firm, has partnered with Palmetto Air & Water Balance, a Greenville, South Carolina-based provider of HVAC testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) services. As part of the transaction Rodney Hinton will become CEO while founder Penny Hinton remains President; SRM plans to accelerate growth through organic expansion and add-on acquisitions, with financing provided by Deerpath Capital Management.

NearU HVAC Services acquired Hagan Heating and Air, a 33-year-old Anderson, South Carolina-based residential and light commercial HVAC contractor. Hagan will join NearU's existing Carolina Heating Services operations in Upstate South Carolina, with founder Paul Hagan remaining on the team to lead customer service.

TurnPoint Services Group has acquired Corley Plumbing Air Electric, a Greenville, South Carolina provider of residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC and electrical services. The acquisition expands TurnPoint's footprint into the South Carolina Upstate and adds a local platform for growth in the Carolinas; terms were not disclosed.
