Acquisitions in Lower Austria, Austria

Belgium-headquartered Amadys, a portfolio company of Equistone Partners Europe, has acquired Austrian distributor SKG Netzwerktechnik GmbH and German wholesaler Muth Kommunikationstechnik GmbH as part of its buy-and-build expansion in the DACH region. The add-on deals broaden Amadys' footprint and product/ logistics capabilities to support accelerating FTTH and utility network roll-outs across Austria, Germany and Slovakia.

Benford Capital Partners, in partnership with LiteSentry LLC, completed a recapitalization of SOFTSOLUTION GmbH, an Austrian provider of automated inspection and process control systems for the flat glass market. Softsolution will continue operating from Waidhofen an der Ybbs with its existing leadership team; the deal represents an add-on for LiteSentry and supports expanded global service, localized resources, and accelerated product development.

Funds advised by Bregal Unternehmerkapital (BU) acquired a significant minority stake in Austrian children’s bicycle maker woom in November 2020 to support the company’s next growth phase. In July 2021 woom merged with its US importer, woombikes USA, to unify operations and accelerate international expansion and customer experience improvements.
