Acquisitions in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

CVC Capital Partners IX will become the new majority shareholder of Grupo GSH (GSH), a Brazil-based healthcare services provider focused on hemotherapy and nuclear medicine. CVC Funds will acquire GSH from Rede D'Or and private equity fund Opus Investimentos, with closing expected in Q3 2025 subject to regulatory approvals.

Advent International led a R$1 billion investment round in Inspira Rede de Educadores, a Brazilian network of basic education schools, with CPP Investments joining as a co-investor. Under the agreement, Advent-managed funds will become a co-controlling shareholder alongside private equity funds managed by BTG Pactual, which has been a shareholder since 2020. The new capital is intended to strengthen Inspira and accelerate organic growth and acquisitions across Brazil.

Katalyst Data Management completed its previously announced acquisition of Geopost Energy, a Rio de Janeiro-based provider of subsurface data analysis and a Virtual Data Room platform for the E&P market. Katalyst plans to continue investing in Geopost’s technology stack, including the Market Watch Portal, and to expand its geographic reach, with Geopost President Christiano Lopes joining Katalyst as Vice President, South America.

Care Access acquired Instituto Brasil de Pesquisa Clínica (IBPClin), a clinical trial center based in Rio de Janeiro, to expand its decentralized clinical trial (DCT) delivery model into Latin America. The deal is positioned as Care Access’s first major step in global expansion, enabling broader trial access for hard-to-reach and underrepresented communities across the region.
