Acquisitions in Egypt

AntX, an Egyptian R&D-as-a-Service and electronic solutions company, announced the acquisition of Magnum Egypt, an edtech startup focused on robotics and electronics training. The transaction is intended to strengthen entrepreneurship and talent development in Upper Egypt by integrating AntX’s advanced R&D capabilities with Magnum Egypt’s hands-on technical education programs.

Ezdehar Management, through its Ezdehar Mid-Cap Fund II, acquired a majority stake in Natural Food S.A.E. (Kemet), an Egyptian manufacturer of pretzels and savory snacks. Founded in 1998, Kemet produces brands including Pretzo, Mixy, and Munchos and exports across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. With Ezdehar’s backing, Kemet plans to expand beyond pretzels into broader healthy and savory snack categories, scale production, and accelerate international growth.

Apex International Energy acquired IEOC Production B.V.’s interests in multiple oil and gas concessions in Egypt’s Western Desert, with two additional concession interests expected to close after parliamentary approval of concession extensions. The acquired interests include full interests in the Ras Qattara, West El Razzak and East Kanayis concessions, plus partial interests in East Obaiyed (and South West Meleiha pending extension), and will be operated in part via the PetroFarah joint venture with EGPC.

MNT-Halan, an Egypt-based fintech ecosystem, acquired Talabeyah, a B2B e-commerce platform supplying FMCG products to small merchants and retailers with next-day delivery. The acquisition adds a digital FMCG offering to MNT-Halan’s ecosystem and is intended to help Talabeyah scale nationwide; transaction terms were not disclosed.

Bevy, an enterprise community event engine platform, announced it has acquired Eventtus, an event management software company known for its mobile in-person conference app and tools for virtual, hybrid, and in-person events. The deal adds more than 20 engineers to Bevy, including Eventtus founders Mai Medhat and Nihal Fares, and expands Bevy’s end-to-end event technology stack.
