Acquisitions in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany

Tübingen-based private equity firm SHS Capital has acquired a majority stake in German home care provider Medizintechnik Rostock GmbH (MTR) from the company’s two shareholder-managing directors, who remain significant shareholders. The investment will support MTR’s continued growth and nationwide expansion of its rental-based medical device and in-home service offerings across movement, electro and compression therapy.

Microbiologics has acquired SensID, a Rostock, Germany-based maker of reference materials and quality controls for molecular diagnostics, marking Microbiologics' first location outside the United States. The deal expands Microbiologics' capabilities into oncology and precision medicine and combines both companies' expertise to broaden diagnostic quality-control offerings for diagnostic developers and clinical labs.

Solace Capital Partners-backed CST Industries has acquired Ostsee Tank Solutions GmbH, a German manufacturer of aluminum domes and tank covers. The add-on acquisition expands CST's EMEA production capacity and supports global deployment of CST's Optidome EU product line to capture greater market share in industrial end markets.

Biocomposites, the UK-based medical devices company, has acquired Artoss GmbH, a Rostock, Germany-based maker of NanoBone bone graft substitutes. The acquisition adds Artoss' proprietary NanoBone technology to Biocomposites' product portfolio and gives the technology access to Biocomposites' global distribution network.

TSG Group has acquired Kälte-, Klimatechnik Manfred Wegner GmbH (Wegner), a Wismar-based refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance and installation services company. The acquisition expands TSG's HVAC capabilities and geographic footprint in Northern and Eastern Germany and brings Wegner's ~98 employees and strong supermarket/food-retail customer relationships into the TSG platform.
