Former NFL All-Pro Ryan Kalil and NBA All-Star Blake Griffin, together with a broader athlete-led ownership group, acquired a controlling (majority) stake in the Monterrey, Mexico-based LFA American football franchise formerly known as Fundidores de Monterrey. The stake was purchased from prior owners Fabián Marcos and José Luis Domene, who will remain as minority partners and continue to support franchise management. Under the new ownership, the team has been rebranded as Osos Monterrey and the group plans to pursue partnerships, community engagement, player development, and a documentary chronicling the transition.
