Packaging Acquisitions in Utah

Flexpak, LLC (a Shorehill Capital portfolio company) completed the acquisition of select assets in St. George, Utah on April 14, 2023 to establish a new branch distributing packaging supplies. The move expands Flexpak's Mountain West footprint to better serve Southern Utah and the Las Vegas market and strengthens its local sales presence with the addition of branch lead Doug Bardsley.

Shorehill Capital LLC completed a recapitalization of Flexpak, LLC, a Woods Cross, Utah-based value-added packaging distributor, with the transaction closing on July 30, 2021. Founder and CEO Brian Kellen and several members of management retain significant ownership and Kellen will continue as President and CEO; financing was provided by Principal Alternative Credit and GMB Capital Partners.

LongueVue Capital has partnered with founder John Palica, CEO Owen Power, and Traco Manufacturing's management team in a recapitalization that provides growth capital to expand the company's packaging capabilities and support future acquisitions. Traco, headquartered in Orem, Utah, is a manufacturer and distributor of custom flexible packaging and printed shrink labels serving food & beverage, nutraceuticals, cosmetics/personal care and pet care markets and employs more than 100 people.

The Cary Company, a privately owned packaging and container distributor headquartered in Addison, Illinois, has acquired Quality Container, LLC, a Salt Lake City-based industrial container distributor. The acquisition expands The Cary Company's geographic coverage into the Intermountain and West Coast regions and brings Quality Container into operation as a division and wholly owned subsidiary.

Fortis Solutions Group LLC, a portfolio company of Main Post Partners, has acquired Kala Packaging LLC, a printer of pressure-sensitive labels and flexible packaging based in Orem, Utah. Kala serves the food & beverage, health & beauty, and nutraceutical end-markets; the deal is an add-on to Fortis's platform as it continues to expand its product offerings and geographic footprint.
