Regency Centers Corporation agreed to acquire Urstadt Biddle Properties Inc. in an all-stock merger valued at approximately $1.4 billion including assumed debt and preferred stock. The combined company will create a larger portfolio of grocery-anchored, open-air shopping centers (481 properties, ~56 million sq. ft.), with Regency shareholders owning ~93% and Urstadt Biddle shareholders ~7% of the combined company.
