Kaulig Capital (the private investment arm of Kaulig Companies) completed a growth equity investment in Turnserv LLC on June 26, 2024. The capital will support expansion of Turnserv’s multifamily apartment turnover brands — including its proprietary Liquid Liner product — and accelerate geographic expansion across Northeast Ohio and beyond.

Crawford Hoying has acquired the Courtyard by Marriott Hamilton in partnership with hotel owner-operator Shaner Hotel Group. The 120-key downtown Hamilton property expands Crawford Hoying's hotel portfolio to 15 assets and positions the firm near its planned 17-acre mixed-use development in Hamilton, Ohio.

reAlpha Asset Management Inc., an AI-powered real estate technology and investment company based in Dublin, Ohio, has acquired Columbus-based Rhove, an SEC-qualified real estate investment and technology platform. The acquisition combines complementary technology and data, expands reAlpha's investor base (adding Rhove's 5,000+ users), and brings Rhove co-founder and CEO Calvin Cooper onto reAlpha's advisory board.

BBG, a national commercial real estate valuation firm headquartered in Dallas, has acquired Columbus-based VSI Appraisal Group. The deal (terms undisclosed) expands BBG's affordable housing appraisal capabilities and establishes a second Columbus office led by David Ross, Jr., who joined as Managing Director along with seven VSI professionals.

Crown Communities has acquired Westview Estates, a manufactured housing community in Sandusky, Ohio. The acquisition expands Crown Communities' footprint into the Midwest and will be managed by Kodiak Property Management, a Crown Communities company.

Charlotte-based private investment firm Summit Park has recapitalized Exacta Land Surveyors LLC, a Cleveland-based provider of land surveying, field management services, and the SurveyStars SaaS product. Stellus Capital Management provided a senior secured credit facility and equity co-investment to support the transaction. Summit Park plans to support geographic expansion, operational optimization, and accelerated development and go-to-market investment for Exacta's SurveyStars platform.
