Acquisitions in Delaware in 2019

New Mountain Capital has acquired Horizon Group Holdings, LLC (Horizon Services) from an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners. Horizon, a Newark, Delaware-based residential provider of heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services with a ~1,400-employee team, will remain managed by founder Dave Geiger and management, and will use New Mountain's capital and resources to accelerate organic and acquisition-led growth.

Acorn Growth Companies, a private equity firm focused on aerospace, defense and intelligence, acquired DIMO Corporation, a New Castle, Delaware-based value-added distributor of mission-critical aircraft parts and assemblies. The acquisition brings DIMO's global distribution and government/OEM relationships into Acorn's portfolio to support growth and international market opportunities; terms were not disclosed.

Ideanomics (NASDAQ: IDEX) acquired an additional 71.7% of Delaware Board of Trade Holdings, Inc. (DBOT), bringing its total ownership to 98.4% in a transaction valued at over US$18 million. Ideanomics plans to integrate its AI "Intelligenta" services and leverage DBOT’s ATS, issuer services, and market-data capabilities to build a global debt advisory, origination and trading ecosystem.
