Acquisitions in Tennessee in 2017

Daseke, Inc. (NASDAQ: DSKE) has acquired Moore Freight Service, Inc., a Mascot, Tennessee-based specialist in flat glass transportation. The acquisition expands Daseke’s flatbed and specialized freight capabilities and brings Moore Freight’s niche expertise and customer relationships into Daseke’s North American platform; Dinan Capital Advisors served as financial advisor to Moore Freight and its shareholders.

Planview acquired LeanKit to extend its work and resource management platform with Lean and Agile (enterprise Kanban) capabilities. The acquisition integrates LeanKit's Enterprise Kanban for engineering teams into Planview's WRM portfolio to better serve software development, DevOps, IT operations and engineering organizations.

Value Drug, through its Value Specialty Pharmacy subsidiary, has acquired Restore Rx, a Brunswick, Tennessee–based specialty pharmacy. The acquisition will expand Value Specialty Pharmacy’s scope and give Value Drug a nationwide patient footprint while retaining Restore Rx’s location, leadership and employees.

Parkway Products, a Florence, Kentucky-based manufacturer backed by private equity sponsor Capital Partners, has completed the acquisition of LMR Plastics in Greeneville, Tennessee from Leonard Industries Manufacturing, LLC. The add-on expands Parkway's large-tonnage injection molding and in-mold decorating capabilities and adds a southeastern U.S. production location to Parkway's network.

Alera Group, a Deerfield, Illinois-based independent insurance firm, has acquired Group Benefits LLC of Memphis, Tennessee, effective July 1, 2017. The acquisition expands Alera Group's middle-market employee benefits presence in the Mid-South and provides Group Benefits clients access to national resources and best practices.
