Acquisitions in Utah in 2015

Dot Family Holdings, with a minority investment from Svoboda Capital Partners, has acquired Grabber Construction Products, a value-added distributor of fasteners and related accessories. Grabber, founded in 1967 and headquartered in Highland, Utah, operates 26 U.S. locations and two Canadian locations and will partner with the buyers to continue growth and preserve its customer-focused culture.

Motorola Solutions acquired PublicEngines, a Salt Lake City–based provider of cloud-based crime analysis, predictive policing and citizen engagement applications, making PublicEngines a wholly owned subsidiary. The deal expands Motorola Solutions' Smart Public Safety portfolio by adding analytics, predictive policing and citizen-facing tools to its situational awareness and CommandCentral offerings; terms were not disclosed.

DePuy Synthes Companies has acquired Olive Medical Corporation, a Utah-based maker of high-definition visualization systems for minimally invasive surgery. The acquisition (financial terms undisclosed) adds arthroscopic visualization technology to DePuy Synthes' Mitek Sports Medicine portfolio and expands access to Olive Medical's solutions through DePuy Synthes' global distribution network.
