Telecommunications Acquisitions in Arizona

Ceragon has completed the acquisition of End 2 End Technologies, a U.S.-based systems integrator and software developer serving private networks in the Energy and Utilities markets. The deal expands Ceragon’s private networks capabilities in North America and is expected to be accretive to non-GAAP earnings by the second half of 2025.

Searchlight Capital Partners made a strategic minority investment in Arizona-based broadband provider Wecom LLC, with additional minority support from Simple Broadband LLC, to accelerate Wecom’s expansion of high-speed fiber Internet to unserved and underserved communities across Arizona. The growth capital will fund fiber-to-the-home network expansion, support public-private partnerships (including work in Mohave County and the Hualapai Nation), and create local jobs.

AVANT has acquired PlanetOne, combining the two IT and telecom channel businesses under the AVANT brand to expand partner enablement, sales capabilities and technology platforms. The deal folds PlanetOne's SENTIENT partner engagement platform and channel team into AVANT (a Pamlico Capital–backed platform) to accelerate scale across cloud, security, UCaaS and connectivity markets.

Kane Infrastructure Services, a portfolio platform of Aterian Investment Partners, acquired Cable Solutions, LLC, a Chandler, Arizona-based provider of structured cabling, fiber optic and inside plant services. The transaction is Kane's first add-on and expands the platform's geographic footprint into the Southwest, strengthening its presence in healthcare, education and other commercial end markets.

Tucows, through its Ting Internet subsidiary, signed a definitive agreement to acquire Simply Bits, a fixed wireless and small fiber internet provider headquartered in Tucson, Arizona. The deal adds ~4,500 customers and 1,100 square miles of fixed wireless network to Ting's footprint, accelerates entry into Southern Arizona, and will retain Simply Bits employees and senior management; the transaction was expected to close in Q4 2021 subject to customary approvals.

Momentum Telecom acquired CloudNet Group, a Phoenix-based communications provider, to strengthen its cloud voice and unified communications market share and broaden its solution portfolio with offerings such as SD-WAN, contact center and vertical go-to-market capabilities. Terms were not disclosed; Bradley Arant Boult Cummings served as legal counsel to Momentum and LoHi Merchant Bank was CloudNet Group’s exclusive investment banker.
