Sky Peak Capital announced the formation of Excelus Holdings, a scaled precision manufacturing platform created by combining Excelus Manufacturing Solutions, D26G Machine Products, and Millennium Precision. Excelus will focus on mission-critical aerospace and defense, medical device, power generation, and high-reliability industrial applications, with more than 200,000 square feet of combined manufacturing space and over 200 employees.
Boston-based private equity firm Sky Peak Capital has acquired TriStar Plastics Corp., a Shrewsbury, Massachusetts manufacturer of engineered plastic solutions and self-lubricating bearings. The transaction is supported by a unitranche credit facility and equity co-investment from Graycliff Partners, with Jackson Walker LLP, CohnReznick, and Configure Partners advising on the deal and financing.
Excelus Manufacturing Solutions, the precision manufacturing platform backed by Sky Peak Capital, has acquired Maclean Precision Machine, a supplier of tight-tolerance parts to the aerospace, defense and semiconductor industries. The add-on nearly doubles Excelus' capacity, expands difficult-material and large-turning capabilities, and provides a path to AS9100 certification to better serve mission-critical customers.
Sky Peak Capital, a New England-based private equity firm, has acquired Hicks Machine of Walpole, New Hampshire and launched Excelus Manufacturing Solutions as a holding platform for its precision machining investments. Excelus will combine Hicks and existing portfolio company Jarvis to serve aerospace & defense, medical, high-tech and commercial end markets and pursue additional machining, sheet metal, fabrication and additive manufacturing capabilities.
Sky Peak Capital, a New England–based private equity firm, has acquired Jarvis Machine, a precision machining provider focused on industrial, defense, photonics, firearms and pneumatics end markets. The transaction follows a prior growth investment and represents Sky Peak's first acquisition in its manufacturing platform, delivering an exit option for founder Duane Jarvis and continuity for employees and customers.
