Aerospace & Defense Acquisitions in Tennessee

EOTECH has acquired VK Integrated Systems (VKIS), a Clarksville, Tennessee developer of weapon electronics, TAK-based situational awareness tools, and battlefield networking solutions. The purchase expands EOTECH’s capabilities beyond optics into integrated weapon sensors, edge computing, and turnkey TAK server offerings to accelerate battlefield digitization and C5ISR capability at the tactical edge.

Gladstone Investment Corporation has acquired Global GRAB Technologies in a $67.6 million transaction comprised of equity and senior secured debt. Global GRAB, based in Franklin, Tennessee, specializes in perimeter security and hostile vehicle mitigation systems for government and commercial clients; Gladstone said the investment will support the company's growth, product portfolio expansion, and ability to protect critical infrastructure.

BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) completed its acquisition of L3Harris' Aerojet Ordnance Tennessee, Inc. (A.O.T.) business effective January 3, 2025. The deal (reported at approximately $100 million) brings A.O.T.'s specialty materials and high‑strength alloy manufacturing capabilities — including the sole U.S. supplier of depleted uranium to the U.S. government — into BWXT's Nuclear Operations Group.

Aeromed Group has acquired Aerospace Products International (API), a supplier of aviation chemicals and MRO consumables, and named Chris Boyer president of API. The deal expands Aeromed Group's distribution portfolio and adds API's chemical management and HAZMAT capabilities to its aerospace supply-chain offerings.

Exchange Income Corporation (EIC) has acquired Crew Training International, Inc. (CTI), a Memphis-based provider of advanced pilot and sensor-operator training for military and commercial customers. CTI, founded in 1992 and headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, will expand EIC's aerospace and aviation services capabilities and government training footprint.

American Science & Engineering (AS&E), a subsidiary of OSI Systems, acquired substantially all assets of Nucsafe, Inc., including its management and development team, technology portfolio, and key patents. The acquisition brings radiation monitoring, gamma/neutron detection and backscatter X‑ray capabilities into AS&E to support homeland security, non‑destructive testing and government customers; terms were not disclosed.
