Automotive Acquisitions in Ohio

Prestige Auto Group, led by owner George Albanna, has acquired Columbiana Ford in Columbiana, Ohio from Pillar Automotive. The dealership will be renamed Prestige Ford and remains at its current location; Performance Brokerage Services acted as exclusive advisor to the transaction.

The Jeff Wyler Automotive Family has acquired Midwestern Auto Group (MAG), a single-campus group of 14 premium and luxury automotive franchises in Dublin, Ohio, and will rebrand the site as The Wyler Collection. The deal — executed as part of a succession plan for owner Mark Brentlinger with sell-side advisory from Dave Cantin Group — is expected to add about $500 million in incremental annual revenue and significantly expand Wyler’s luxury retail footprint.

Midas International, LLC has acquired Max Auto Supply Company, a long-standing Midas franchisee that operates 111 service centers across six U.S. states. Max Auto, headquartered in Toledo, Ohio with over 650 employees, will continue operating as a standalone business under the Midas/Mavis platform to strengthen the group's retail service footprint.

Express Wash Concepts acquired a single former ZIPS Car Wash site at 12167 Montgomery Road in Cincinnati, Ohio, adding the location to its portfolio. The purchase strengthens Express Wash Concepts’ footprint in the Greater Cincinnati market as part of its strategy to acquire and convert existing sites for its express-wash brands.

Express Wash Concepts (EWC) has acquired Royalton Car Wash located at 6165 Royalton Road in North Royalton, Ohio. The site will be rebranded as Clean Express Auto Wash, temporarily closed for upgrades and expected to reopen in March 2026, strengthening EWC's footprint in Northeast Ohio as it expands to 124 express wash locations across six states.

GreatWater 360 Auto Care has acquired Paradise Car Care in Ravenna, Ohio, adding the shop as GreatWater’s sixth Ohio location and its third Ohio acquisition in 2025. Former owner Mike Paradise will remain as shop leader while Paradise Car Care retains its name and team and gains access to GreatWater’s diagnostics, training, benefits, and operational support.

GreatWater 360 Auto Care has acquired Northgate Tire, a longstanding tire and full-service auto repair shop in Cincinnati, Ohio, from former owner Matthew Lepof. The transaction expands GreatWater's footprint in southern Ohio and brings Northgate into its network of locally operated shops supported by centralized training, equipment, and operational resources.

Ken Ganley Automotive Group has acquired Sarchione Auto Group, a family-owned collection of six dealerships across Northeast Ohio. The deal transfers ownership of six franchised dealerships to Ken Ganley while John and Joe Sarchione will continue to operate the locations under the Ken Ganley umbrella, expanding Ken Ganley's footprint in Ohio.

GreatWater 360 Auto Care, a Grand Rapids-based network of local auto repair shops, has acquired Superlube Complete Car Care in Avon, Ohio. The shop will retain its Superlube name and team while receiving expanded training, technology, and operational support as part of GreatWater's continued Ohio expansion.

Express Wash Concepts (EWC) acquired Cleanland Car Wash, a single-site location in Macedonia, Ohio, expanding EWC's Clean Express Auto Wash footprint. The acquisition increases EWC's express wash portfolio to 119 locations across six states and the Macedonia site will be rebranded and reopened under EWC on June 6, 2025.

Sun Auto Tire & Service has acquired Larry Harer Goodyear (Larry Harer, Inc.), adding two Goodyear-branded service locations in central Ohio to Sun Auto’s growing Ohio footprint. The acquisition expands Sun Auto’s retail and service presence in the state and converts the local, family-owned Goodyear locations into the Sun Auto network.

Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers has acquired Cleveland-based Conrad's Tire Express and Total Car Care, adding 39 locations in northeast Ohio to Dobbs' existing footprint. The deal expands Dobbs' retail and service presence to 97 stores across Missouri, Ohio, Illinois, and Texas and aims to strengthen operational capabilities while retaining Conrad's management team.

J.D. Power has acquired Superior Integrated Auctions (SIA) to integrate SIA's online vehicle auction marketplace into the J.D. Power Marketplace. The deal brings SIA's auction technology and team together with J.D. Power's valuation data, predictive analytics and ChromeData capabilities to expand J.D. Power's pre-owned vehicle inventory management and digital sales offerings.

Premier Toyota of Amherst (founded 2006) was sold by founder Robert Fisher to buyer Kevin Wuepper. Performance Brokerage Services served as the exclusive sell‑side advisor for the transaction; the dealership will remain at its current location in Amherst, Ohio.

Summit Partners has acquired a majority stake in CollisionRight, a Dublin, Ohio-based consolidator of automotive collision repair shops. The investment will support CollisionRight's growth and roll-up strategy as the company operates nearly 85–89 repair centers across nine states and generates the majority of its revenue from insurance carriers.

Sun Auto Tire & Service has acquired Boyd's Tire & Service, adding seven locations across Central Ohio to Sun Auto's nationwide network. The deal marks Sun Auto's first entry into Ohio and expands its retail/service footprint while bringing Boyd's employees and customers access to Sun Auto's nationwide warranties and benefits.

CarData Inc., an automotive advertising and merchandising provider, has acquired Cincinnati-based Dealer Visual to expand its Midwest footprint and enhance its photography and videography capabilities for auto dealerships. Dealer Visual will continue delivering virtual showroom transformations, live video, and professional automotive photography as part of the CarData family.

Pittsburgh-based automotive retailer #1 Cochran has acquired the Flynn Automotive Group, adding four dealerships (two in Boardman, one in East Liverpool and one in Columbiana) and a collision center. Most of Flynn Group’s approximately 225 employees are joining #1 Cochran, expanding the buyer’s footprint in eastern Ohio and increasing its store count and brand offerings in the Boardman/Youngstown market.

ALP Overseas' U.S. subsidiary ALP USA Inc has acquired SoffSeal, Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of rubber weatherstripping and molded auto parts. The acquisition strengthens ALP Group's manufacturing and distribution footprint in the United States and supports expanded supply and exports of SoffSeal products into other geographies.

Spitzer Auto World has acquired Axelrod Buick GMC in Parma, Ohio; the dealership will be renamed Spitzer Buick GMC. The Dave Cantin Group advised both parties on the transaction, which expands Spitzer's Buick and GMC brand platforms and transfers the family-owned dealership (owned by Barry Axelrod) into Spitzer's portfolio.

VisTech Manufacturing Solutions, a portfolio company of Angeles Equity Partners, acquired substantially all of the assets of Industry Products Company (IPC), a Piqua, Ohio–based supplier of noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) and interior trim solutions to North American automotive OEMs. The deal expands VisTech’s product portfolio and manufacturing footprint—adding Midwest, Southeast and Silao (Mexico) facilities—and provides scale and complementary NVH capabilities to better serve OEM customers.

Corinthian Capital Management, a middle-market private equity firm, has closed its acquisition of Ultimate Toys Inc., a Cincinnati-area designer and marketer of luxury Class B RV conversion vehicles and teardrop trailers. Corinthian will be the company's first institutional investor and said the investment will support Ultimate Toys' next phase of growth; debt financing for the transaction was provided by Turning Rock Partners.

BFC Group, a Triton Smaller Mid‑Cap Fund I portfolio company headquartered in Germany, has signed an agreement to acquire Arrowhead Industries, a leading US core‑metal supplier to the automotive weather‑seal market. The deal expands BFC's footprint in North America and creates a global group with 10 production sites across five countries and more than 200 employees; financial terms were not disclosed.

Fenix Parent LLC (operating as Fenix Parts) has completed the acquisition of the assets of Reno Auto Parts, a full-service automotive recycler in Hillsboro, Ohio. The deal expands Fenix's Midwest footprint and production capacity, growing its network of full-service and self-service locations.

All Star Auto Lights, a portfolio company of Atlantic Street Capital, has acquired Blackburn OEM Wheel Solutions, a leading U.S. distributor of new and refurbished OEM steel and alloy wheels based in Macedonia, Ohio. The deal expands All Star's capabilities beyond lighting into a newly created Wheels Division—combining Blackburn with previously acquired Jante Wheel and Perfection Wheel—and strengthens its national distribution footprint for collision shops, tire/service centers, rental car and auction customers.

MiddleGround Capital, via its platform Race Winning Brands (RWB), acquired TMG Performance Products, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of branded performance exhaust and air intake systems for automotive and marine enthusiasts. The transaction is RWB's fourth add-on since MiddleGround acquired the platform in December 2021 and expands RWB's portfolio in the premium aftermarket exhaust and air-flow category.

Express Wash Concepts (EWC) acquired Kleenco, a supplier of car wash services, chemicals and components to automotive dealerships. Kleenco will join EWC’s portfolio to provide service technicians, an online service portal, a parts warehouse and chemical delivery capabilities to support EWC’s network of express tunnel car washes across the Midwest and mid-Atlantic.

Fenix Parent LLC (operating as Fenix Parts), a Stellex Capital-backed automotive recycler and reseller, completed the acquisition of the assets of Keiffer Auto Recyclers in Canton, Ohio. The deal expands Fenix's Midwest footprint and adds production capacity and an established customer base in northeast Ohio.

Fenix Parent LLC (operating as Fenix Parts) has completed its acquisition of the assets of All Foreign Used Auto Parts, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio. The deal marks Fenix's first acquisition in the Midwest as it expands production capacity and its regional footprint; Fenix is PE-backed by Stellex Capital Management LLC.

Mavis Tire Express Services Corp. has agreed to acquire Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Centers, adding Tuffy's ~165 service centers to Mavis's national footprint. Tuffy will remain headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, with CEO Roger Hill joining the combined company's leadership; terms were not disclosed.

MiddleGround Capital has acquired Race Winning Brands (RWB) from Kinderhook Industries; financial terms were not disclosed. RWB, headquartered in Mentor, Ohio, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-performance automotive and powersports engine components, and MiddleGround intends to support growth through new product development and complementary acquisitions.

Express Wash Concepts (EWC), a multi-brand express car wash operator based in Columbus, Ohio, acquired Zip Auto Wash located at 12611 Rockside Rd in Garfield Heights, Ohio. The acquisition expands EWC's express car wash portfolio to 46 locations and will include a planned ~$1 million upgrade and conversion to EWC's Clean Express Auto Wash brand, with temporary closure for renovations and reopening in early 2022.

Prairie Capital VII, LP partnered with CEO Ken Brott and senior management to recapitalize Sgt. Clean Car Wash, a six-site express car wash operator headquartered in Uniontown, Ohio. The investment will fund de novo site expansion, human capital, sales and marketing, infrastructure, and add-on acquisitions to scale the platform in the Northeast Ohio market.

NitroFill, a Kinderhook Industries portfolio company, acquired Advanced Dealer Solutions (ADS), a distributor of NitroFill's nitrogen tire inflation products. The add-on deal—terms undisclosed—strengthens NitroFill's direct sales channel and expands dealer coverage (notably in Florida) as NitroFill's second add-on under Kinderhook ownership.

Blue Point Capital Partners has acquired Cleveland-based Transtar Holding Company in a platform buyout, partnering with Transtar management and CEO Neil Sethi. The acquisition will accelerate Transtar's data-enabled, e-commerce-driven growth, improve supply chain efficiencies and position the company for strategic add-on acquisitions.

Express Wash Concepts (EWC) acquired Ultimate Wash, a single-location car wash at 9475 State Route 14 in Streetsboro, Ohio, with the transaction effective December 24, 2020. EWC plans roughly $1 million in upgrades, will temporarily close the site for conversion to its CLEan Express Auto Wash brand, and expand its Ohio footprint to 33 locations.

Huron Capital’s XLerate Group has acquired Columbus Fair Auto Auction (CFAA) from the Jacobs family. The add-on expands XLerate’s nationwide auction and remarketing platform, strengthening its Midwestern presence and capabilities to service fleet/lease and financial institution customers.
