Cybersecurity Acquisitions in Oregon

Kingswood Capital Management has acquired Identity Theft Guard Solutions, Inc. (IDX), a Portland-based provider of data breach response and digital privacy protection services, from ZeroFox. Stellus Capital Management provided unitranche debt financing and an equity co-investment to support Kingswood's investment; IDX's existing management will remain in place as Kingswood pursues standalone growth and capability expansion.

LegitScript has acquired Fluxguard, an AI-powered website change detection and monitoring provider. The acquisition adds Fluxguard's website monitoring capabilities to LegitScript's risk, compliance, and merchant/product certification offering; Fluxguard will remain available as a standalone solution while the teams integrate to build expanded offerings for clients.

ScalePad has acquired ControlMap, a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) automation platform built for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The deal adds automated cybersecurity compliance capabilities (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, CMMC, etc.) to ScalePad’s MSP product suite and brings ControlMap’s team and integrations into ScalePad’s organization.

Nottingham-based Phenna Group has acquired PKI Solutions, a Portland, Oregon–based specialist in public key infrastructure (PKI) products, services, and training. The deal adds PKI capability and the PKI Spotlight management solution to Phenna's cyber security offerings and gives the group a West Coast U.S. presence.

SecureAuth, an identity and access management provider based in Irvine, California, acquired Acceptto, a Portland-based startup specializing in AI-driven passwordless authentication and behavioral modeling. The deal bolsters SecureAuth's continuous authentication, adaptive MFA and Zero-Trust capabilities by integrating Acceptto's contextual behavior threat intelligence and passwordless solutions.

CyberRisk Alliance (CRA), a PE-backed business intelligence company focused on cybersecurity, has acquired Cybersecurity Collaborative, a private peer-council platform for CISOs founded by Stuart Cohen. The deal brings Cybersecurity Collaborative into CRA’s portfolio to expand its peer council/membership offerings and accelerate product and market expansion for CISOs across enterprise, government and healthcare organizations.

Akamai Technologies has completed its all-cash acquisition of Janrain, a pioneer in customer identity and access management (CIAM). The deal integrates Janrain’s Identity Cloud into the Akamai Intelligent Edge Platform to add identity management and risk-based adaptive authentication capabilities to Akamai’s security and edge offerings.
