3i Group plc has acquired EC Waste, LLC, a leading non-hazardous solid waste services provider in Puerto Rico, from Post Capital Partners. EC Waste serves over 100,000 residential and more than 8,500 commercial and industrial customers, operates multiple landfill sites and transfer stations, employs over 350 people, and hosts a large renewable natural gas project; financial terms were not disclosed.

(Andrés Reyes Burgos), a local provider of bespoke non-hazardous solid-waste collection and environmental-management services. The add-on strengthens EC Waste's technical capabilities, expands geographic coverage across residential, commercial and industrial markets, and supports its digitalisation and sustainability agenda.

Republic Services Acquires US Ecology for $48/Share

Republic Services agreed to acquire all outstanding shares of US Ecology for $48 per share (approximately $2.2 billion including net debt) to expand its environmental solutions capabilities and national footprint. The deal provides Republic with vertically integrated hazardous and specialty waste treatment, disposal and field-service assets, and is expected to be immediately accretive with roughly $40 million of cost synergies over three years.

Republic Services acquired two longtime Wisconsin hauling companies, Town & Country Sanitation and Peterson Sanitation, effective May 1. The purchases expand Republic's residential, commercial and roll‑off collection footprint across southwest and south‑central Wisconsin and northeast Iowa and add to its existing hauling and post‑collection assets in the Midwest.

EcoSouth Florida (Kinderhook) Acquires A Waste and Recycling

EcoSouth Florida, a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, has acquired A Waste and Recycling, a roll-off waste collection company with a transfer station in Sarasota, Florida. The deal expands EcoSouth Florida’s presence and capabilities in the Sarasota market; A Waste founder and CEO Roger Alvarez will partner with EcoSouth Florida post-close. Financing was provided by Comerica Bank and Akin Gump served as legal counsel to the buyer.

Valicor Environmental Services Acquires ECO-FIRST, Inc.

Valicor Environmental Services, a Pritzker Private Capital portfolio company, has acquired ECO-FIRST, Inc., a Huntington, West Virginia-based provider of industrial and commercial waste collection, treatment, and recycling services. The add-on acquisition expands Valicor's footprint in the Mid-Atlantic and broadens its wastewater treatment and environmental services capabilities.
