Kamps, Inc. completed two acquisitions in Florida, acquiring the Jacksonville location from Pallet Express, Inc. on August 15 and acquiring All‑State Pallets Company LLC (Orlando) on August 29. The deals add 65 employees, 103 trailers and expand Kamps' Southeast footprint, strengthening its pallet recycling, new pallet manufacturing, and total pallet management capabilities in Florida.

Kamps, Inc. Acquires John Rock, Inc.

Kamps, Inc., a Freeman Spogli–backed national pallet company, has completed the acquisition of the business of John Rock, Inc., a vertically integrated pallet manufacturer and lumber mill based in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. The add-on expands Kamps' Mid-Atlantic footprint and strengthens its value chain capabilities in lumber milling, new pallet manufacturing, and logistics while retaining John Rock's leadership and employees.

Kamps, Inc., a national pallet solutions provider, has acquired Denver-based L&R Pallet Service, Inc. SDR Ventures served as exclusive sell-side advisor and the sellers were James and Carine Ruder. The acquisition expands Kamps' footprint in the Colorado market and brings L&R's pallet manufacturing and recycling capabilities into Kamps' national network.

Freeman Spogli & Company Acquires Majority Interest in Kamps Pallets, Inc.

Freeman Spogli & Company has acquired a majority interest in Kamps Pallets, Inc., a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based pallet management services provider. Founder and CEO Bernie Kamps remains a significant shareholder and will continue to lead the company; financial terms were not disclosed and debt financing was provided by Oaktree Capital Management, Adams Street Partners and Comerica.

Kamps, Inc. Acquires Realm Companies LLC from Great Range Capital

Kamps, Inc., a national pallet company backed by Freeman Spogli & Co., has acquired Realm Companies LLC, a Newton, Iowa–based pallet manufacturing, recycling and warehousing platform that also includes WestWind Logistics LLC. Realm — a portfolio company of Great Range Capital — has about 180 employees across nine warehouse and manufacturing locations; all Realm and WestWind employees (including owner Chris Barton) will transition to Kamps following the deal. The acquisition expands Kamps' Midwest capabilities, adding pallet lifecycle management, reverse logistics and on-site TPM services.

Kamps, Inc. Acquires Gorgo Group

Kamps, Inc. has acquired Gorgo Group, a Vineland, New Jersey-based provider of pallet, packaging and logistics solutions, expanding Kamps’ asset-based footprint in the North‑East. Gorgo operates three locations (two in Southern New Jersey and one in Harrisburg, PA), employs over 200 people, and will remain staffed with existing employees and owners post‑transaction.
