Nuvocargo Acquires Merge Transportation

Nuvocargo has acquired Charleston, South Carolina-based third-party logistics provider Merge Transportation, adding intra-U.S. brokerage and transportation capabilities to its existing U.S.–Mexico cross-border platform. The acquisition (terms undisclosed) brings Merge's ~14-person team into Nuvocargo and expands the company's service offering across North America.

M-Files Acquires Ment

M-Files has acquired Ment (formerly Contract Mill Oy), a Finland-based no-code document automation company, to add visual, no-code contract and document automation capabilities to its metadata-driven document management platform. Ment will remain available as a standalone modular offering while M-Files phases integration to strengthen legal-domain automation and broader document-generation capabilities.

Argentum Leads $13M Growth Investment in SmartCommerce

New York-based growth equity firm Argentum led a $13 million investment in SmartCommerce to accelerate product development, expand sales, and extend the company’s AI-assisted Click2Cart SaaS platform for CPG brands. First Analysis Corporation also participated in the round, and Argentum partner Walter H. Barandiarán joined SmartCommerce’s board.

Inflexion Acquires Majority Stake in Nomentia

Inflexion has entered into an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Nomentia, a Helsinki/ Espoo‑headquartered European treasury and cash management SaaS provider, from current investors PSG Equity and Verdane. The investment, made by Inflexion Buyout Fund VI, aims to accelerate Nomentia's growth across Europe both organically and via further acquisitions.

Firmament Acquires NASCENT Technology

Firmament, a structured-equity investor, has acquired NASCENT Technology, a manufacturer and integrator of automated gate systems serving intermodal, rail, marine terminals, distribution centers and carriers. The investment will fund NASCENT’s product and software development and enable strategic integration with Firmament portfolio company Envase Technologies to expand visibility and services across the intermodal supply chain.
