Central Moloney, Inc. (a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners) has acquired Cam Tran Co. Ltd., the largest Canadian manufacturer of distribution transformers and the largest North American producer of amorphous metal transformers. The combination creates one of the largest North American producers of distribution transformers with roughly 1,000 employees and eight manufacturing facilities across the U.S. and Canada, expanding capacity to serve utilities amid grid hardening and electrification tailwinds.

Wind Point Partners Acquires Velocity Rail Solutions

Charger Investment Partners Acquires CMI Limited Co.

Charger Investment Partners has acquired CMI Limited Co., a Woodstock, Georgia-based designer and manufacturer of shoreline preservation and marine access products, in a transaction announced in January 2023. Heartwood Partners Fund II, LP exited its investment in CMI as part of the sale; financial terms were not disclosed. Charger partnered with CMI management to support the company's next phase of growth.

CW Industrial Partners Acquires Mantaline Corporation

Cleveland-based private equity firm CW Industrial Partners completed its acquisition of Mantaline Corporation on March 1, 2024, marking CWI's first platform investment of 2024. Mantaline, a Mantua, Ohio-headquartered manufacturer of extruded elastomeric products serving automotive, heavy truck and industrial markets, transitioned from ESOP ownership and will be supported by CWI and financing from PNC Mezzanine Capital and Premier Bank to pursue growth and capability expansion.

Chicago-based private equity firm Wind Point Partners has acquired Corbett Technology Solutions, Inc. (CTSI), a Chantilly, Virginia–headquartered systems integrator of engineered low-voltage communications, audiovisual, life‑safety and security solutions. Tower Arch Capital, which previously owned CTSI, sold the company to Wind Point; CTSI management led by CEO Gino Ruta will remain and partner with Wind Point to expand capabilities and geographic reach through organic growth and acquisitions.
