Central Moloney, Inc. (a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners) has acquired Cam Tran Co. Ltd., the largest Canadian manufacturer of distribution transformers and the largest North American producer of amorphous metal transformers. The combination creates one of the largest North American producers of distribution transformers with roughly 1,000 employees and eight manufacturing facilities across the U.S. and Canada, expanding capacity to serve utilities amid grid hardening and electrification tailwinds.

PowerTransitions closed the acquisition of a 226 MW seed portfolio of natural-gas-fired power generation assets (the 145 MW Camden Plant in New Jersey and the 81 MW Dartmouth Plant in Massachusetts) from Talen Energy on September 11, 2025. Partners Group simultaneously completed its acquisition of PowerTransitions from EnCap Investments and plans to invest over $450 million to accelerate PowerTransitions' growth and redevelop legacy assets into new generation, battery storage and powered land sites for data centers and advanced manufacturers.

Woodsman Energy Acquires Central and Northern Alberta Oil & Gas Assets

Woodsman Energy Corp., with financing provided by a fund managed by Westbridge Capital Ltd., closed the acquisition of oil and gas assets in Central and Northern Alberta (Sullivan Lake and Valhalla) on March 28, 2024. The properties add approximately 400 boe/d of production (about 60% oil/NGLs), are >95% working interest and mostly operated, and expand Woodsman's portfolio of long-life, low-decline assets.
